The Customer Days of TAJMAC-ZPS, a.s., which took place on 18 and 19 April 2024, surpassed all previous years in terms of their scope. Even before the event, it was clear from visitor registrations that attendance would be record-breaking, and in the end the number of registrants stood at 1 166, which is a clear indication of the huge interest. The number of co-exhibiting companies also increased, with over 90 exhibitors presenting their stands. The total number of visitors and participating co-exhibitors exceeded 1 350. The accompanying programme presented racing and commercial fast cars.
Visitor interest in meeting with experts and managers to exchange valuable practical knowledge was traditionally high, and TAJMAC-ZPS, in cooperation with our suppliers, presented the latest technological solutions on selected machines.
Thanks to the expositions of the co-exhibitors, the Customer Days have long had the character of a real industrial fair. Very positive feedback was received on the popular guided tours of the production facilities and excursions to the ZPS - SLÉVÁRNA plant, which we have expanded to the maximum this year.
In the production hall, visitors were interested in our own automated robotic workstation. The FAMC 1260i Production Cell 4.0 symbolizes the combination of the modern Industry 4.0 concept with the needs of small batch production. This innovative technology enables flexible response to production needs and ensures just-in-time production of manufactured components. The key element of the cell is the innovative MCV1260i vertical centre with automatic pallet changer and energy supply to the pallet. The workplace is equipped with a number of control elements that enable its long-term unattended operation.
In a separate exhibition, the technical support department presented the expanded capabilities of its own digital platform ReCON, which is not only about monitoring production processes, but now also includes, for example, tool management, production planning, preventive maintenance or, last but not least, temperature compensation using AI.
Traditionally, our ZPS, MORI-SAY and MANURHIN K'MX divisions presented their exhibits. In the assembly halls, visitors had the opportunity to view selected machines from the production program with examples of the latest technological adjustments, which represent novelties or innovative possibilities expanding the use of our machines, and to obtain detailed information about the technical specifications. Visitors also had the opportunity to visit the assembly area of the NEGRI BOSSI injection moulding project.
The ZPS division demonstrated five set-up machines, which covered the entire production range of the division. The individual set-ups were focused on the most modern machining methods using innovations in the field of cutting tools. Demonstrations of control system options focused on OMATIVE adaptive machine control, Protect MyMachine 3D Twin advanced collision checks and the use of the machine's digital twin in practice were also in the focus of attention.
Using a 3D animation, the MANURHIN K'MX division presented this year's essential novelty, the MANURHIN K'MX 520 / K'MX 620 Swiss automatic lathe, which will complement the production line of Swiss automatic lathes manufactured in Zlín. In a wider exhibition, machines from the entire MANURHIN K'MX product line were presented with examples of current technological solutions. Suppliers of catalogue ISO tools as well as manufacturers of special shaped tools for Swiss automatic lathes, suppliers of CAD/CAM systems for Swiss automatic lathes were presented, as well as state-of-the-art SLO frequency chip breaking on MANURHIN K'MX machines, filtration systems for oil mist and smoke emissions removal, and monitoring of the current concentration and condition of cutting coolants. Visitors were also able to view the modern assembly areas and discuss their technological needs, comments and ideas with a team of designers, technologists and service technicians.
The MORI-SAY division presented a total of 12 machines on the assembly area in both basic concepts - cam-controlled machines and numerically controlled machines, both six- and eight-spindle. Visitors had a unique chance to see representatives of individual machines from our entire production program. From the smallest cam-controlled MORI-SAY 620AC to the large eight-spindle numerical MORI-SAY TMZ842CNC. Most of the machines have been set-up to produce specific parts, equipped with automatic changers and all the accessories required by the technology and according to customer requirements. One of the exhibits was a fully CNC-controlled six-spindle MORI-SAY TMZ642CNC automatic machine, on which production tests were in progress. Everyone could see the machine in full operation and get an idea of the performance that is so characteristic of multi-spindle machines. Thanks to the above-mentioned quality and performance of the MORI-SAY machines, all the machines on display were already under orders from specific customers from the Czech Republic, India and the USA. In the case of machines in the development stage, visitors could see the basic mechanical and electronic components of the machines, which are normally located under the machine covers and are not normally visible.
The accompanying programme with the popular prize draw competition, to which prizes were donated by TAJMAC-ZPS and 10 co-exhibiting companies, provided not only relief, but also strengthened the atmosphere of the whole event. The participants of this year's DAKAR Rally from BUGGYRA Power Sports presented themselves with the TATRA PHOENIX #604 race special with members of the technical support team, without whom neither the race specials nor the pilots could do. The Skoda to DAKAR project was presented by long-time racer Ondřej Klymčiw with the ŠKODA 130 LR race special, with which he attended the Classic category this year. Samohyl MB lent two fast cars from the current range of Mercedes Benz AMG GT Black series and AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ to Customer Days. The attractive supporting programme is an integral part of the Customer days and contributes to the overall informal atmosphere of the event at TAJMAC-ZPS.
We thank all the guests, visitors and exhibitors who accepted our invitation and participated in Customer Days. Thanks also go to the company Delirest, which traditionally provided excellent refreshments. A big thank you goes to all TAJMAC-ZPS employees and external suppliers who participated in the preparation and running of this great event.
