The production program of the TAJMAC-ZPS is composed of high-performance machining centres, Swiss-type Lathes and multispindle automatic machines. All these machines found their usage in the most demanding industrial branches on all markets of the world and gained a very good reputation for their high-level technical parameters, accuracy and reliability.

Vertical Machining Centres ZPS Icon

The vertical machining centres are high-performance machines intended for complex chip machining. They are suitable for tool shops, for power machining and when equipped with a pallet changer, they also find their employment in the automotive industry. The work table, whose upper surface serves for workpiece clamping, is traveling in the longitudinal direction (X-axis) along guide-ways of the cross saddle. The cross saddle is moving along guide-ways of the base in the transverse direction (Y-axis). The spindle head moves in the vertical direction (Z-axis) along the guide-ways of the column. All guide-ways are formed by linear guides with rollers. Optionally, it is possible to equip the machines with the 4th of 5th CNC axis and with a wide range of other technological optional equipment.

Horizontal Machining Centres ZPS

The horizontal milling centres are equipped with a pallet changer with two pallets and a tool changer with automatic tool change function. The machines are intended for productive and complex machining of moulds, dies and workpieces of a flat or box shape made of steel, cast iron and light metal alloys clamped on the work table. They are suitable for mass production. They enable milling operations in three mutually perpendicular coordinate axes X, Y and Z. The rotary table (B-axis) enables machining from several sides.

Gantry-type Machining Centres ZPS Icon

The gantry-type machining centres are highly productive machines with wide range of application when machining complicated spatial shapes in three or five axes. Due to high dynamics, very high rigidity and damping characteristics of the machine structure, they enable utilization of HSC technologies advantages. The gantry-type machines have their spindle mounted in a motor spindle unit built-in in the sliding ram. All movements of the machine are realized by linear guide-ways with rollers. Measuring of position in the X, Y and Z axes is carried out directly by absolute measuring units.

Multipurpose Machining Centres ZPS

The multipurpose machining centres of upper gantry-type enable complex machining of spatially complicated and technologically demanding workpieces as well as of combined shapes, both within five-axis milling operations and full-featured turning operations. The find their use not only in the branches of classical engineering but also in the automotive, plastics and pressing industry. Thanks to their ability to machine in up to six axes with simultaneous possibility of turning, they find their use in demanding areas of engineering and aviation.

Swiss-type Lathes MANURHIN K'MX Icon

These automatic lathes with sliding headstock expanded the production program of TAJMAC-ZPS a. s. after MANURHIN K’MX acquisition in 2004 and transfer of production from French Mulhouse into the city of Zlín.

The indisputable advantage of automation is the reduction of human error and dependence on manual processes. As a result, we are able to achieve higher production quality and optimize resource utilization.

An illustrative example of this technology is the Production Cell 4.0, which is able to reduce the cost of preparation time through its operation, thus enabling us to produce small-scale production at the price of large-scale production.

    From Costruzioni Meccaniche Amedeo Tajariol to the TAJMAC GROUP

    In 1944 the company employed more than 150 and was working around the clock to manufacture a lathe, called “Littore”, used on military vehicles. The bombing raids of 1944 caused the overnight destruction of the company facilities and forced Amedeo Tajariol to start all over again after the end of the war. The new company, Tajariol Macchine Utensili, now known as TAJMAC-MTM, started by salvaging machinery of war-damaged plants, rebuilding it and selling it to companies in an area which soon expanded to encompass the whole of Italy. Given Amedeo’s experience, it is not surprising how little time it took for the new company to specialize in the rebuilding of and trading in automatic lathes. Amedeo’s first-born, Andrea Tajariol, joined TAJMAC in 1968 and dramatically expanded its activities by dealing directly with foreign suppliers and by becoming the Italian distributor for DAVENPORT and WICKMAN, two of the leading multi-spindle manufacturers of the time. The need to satisfy the constantly evolving market requirements compelled the Tajariol family to transform themselves from traders into manufacturers, and therefore into designers, of multi-spindle lathes. Hence the acquisition of WICKMAN, of MONEO (now TAJMAC-FRANCE), in the year 2000 of ZPS (now TAJMAC-ZPS) and of other Czech companies of the group: ZPS - SLEVARNA (the foundry), ZPS-GO, ZPS - TRANSPORT, TECNIMETAL CZ. And ZPS - MECHANIKA in the year 2004.

    TAJMAC-MSW (TAJMAC Deutchland since 2017) and ZPS-CNC USA (2000 - 2021) are established in Germany and in the USA respectively. French company MANURHIN K'MX is the next acquisition in 2006. ZPS AMERICA becomes a part of the group in 2008. In May 2013 the group bought the company CUCCHI BLT and then ZV - Nástroje in November 2018.

    The determination to establish and maintain close and mutually satisfactory relations with customers led to setting up a network of agents and exclusive distributors which now extends to most countries of the world. In some of these (France, Great Britain, Germany and the Czech Republic), the distributors are branches of what is now commonly referred to as the “TAJMAC group”. Branches, distributors and agents all operate in the same manner as TAJMAC-MTM, advising and keeping in touch with the customer before and after purchase, assuring prompt servicing and spare parts delivery and providing all information required to keep the customer technologically updated.
