TAJMAC-ZPS Customer Days 2023

This year's TAJMAC-ZPS, a.s. Customer Days took place on 27 and 28 April 2023. During their preparation it was already obvious that they would once again raise the imaginary bar a little higher. More than 80 co-exhibitors presented their exhibitions at our company. The accompanying programme featured 5 interesting exhibitors. The number of visitors and participating co-exhibitors was around 1200 people.

Many visitors took advantage of the meetings with experts and managers to exchange valuable knowledge from practice, and TAJMAC-ZPS introduced them to the updated product range and the latest innovations.

The irreplaceability of personal meetings has been confirmed. Thanks to the expositions of the co-exhibitors, the Customer Days have traditionally had the character of a true industrial fair. Visitors used the opportunity to attend the popular guided tour through the company's manufacturing premises as well as an excursion through the ZPS – SLÉVÁRNA (foundry) plant.

In the production hall, visitors were impressed by the FAMC 1260i FAMC 4.0 automated robotic workstation designed for repetitive piece and small batch production. The key element of the cell is the innovated MCV1260i vertical centre with automatic pallet changer and energy supply to the pallet. The workstation is equipped with a number of control elements that enable its long-term unattended operation. This unique system is based on the Industry 4.0 concept and combines the advantages of automation with the needs of small batch production, including the ability to change production assignments several times a day. By this, the workstation enables a flexible response to production needs and just-in-time delivery of manufactured components. The Technical Support Department presented another product of its own, ReCON - an application for monitoring production.

Traditionally, our divisions ZPS, MORI-SAY and MANURHIN K'MX presented their exhibits. Visitors had the opportunity to view in detail the selected machines of the production program in the assembly halls, with examples of the latest technological devices representing novelties or innovative possibilities expanding the use of our machines, and to obtain detailed information about the technical specifications. This year, visitors were also able to visit the assembly area of the NEGRI BOSSI injection moulding project.

The ZPS division presented both the smallest portal center ZPS MCG810i in 5-axis design, as well as the largest machine from the series of horizontal machining centers with the designation ZPS MCH1000i. Furthermore, the innovation of the 5-axis multifunctional machining center of the upper gantry type ZPS MCG1000i with the option of automatic pallet exchange, including a demonstration of turning and 5-axis milling. Demonstrations of interpolation turning and HFC milling were shown on the ZPS MCV1260i vertical machining centre, and demonstrations of the Automatic Feedrate Control option and power milling demonstrations were shown on the ZPS MCV2080i. The ZPS MCG2318i gantry machining centre presented demonstrations of turning and 5-axis milling.

The MANURHIN K'MX division has introduced the world premiere of this year's new product, the MANURHIN K'MX 832, Swiss automatic lathe that can machine a part with up to 4 tools simultaneously. Other Swiss automatic lathes from the MANURHIN K'MX production were also on display, suppliers of catalogue tools and special shaped tools for Swiss automatic lathes were presented, suppliers of CAM systems for MANURHIN K'MX Swiss automatic lathes were also presented, as well as chip breaking on MANURHIN K'MX machines, filtration systems for the removal of oil mist and smoke emissions, and monitoring of the current state of the coolant concentration in the machine. Visitors were also able to see the modern assembly facilities.

The MORI-SAY division presented 9 machines on the assembly area in both basic concepts - cam-controlled machines and numerically controlled machines, both six and eight-spindle. One of the exhibits was the new, fully CNC controlled 6-spindle automatic lathe MORI-SAY TM620CNC which expanded the production line of MORI-SAY machines. On the machines in the development stage, those interested could see the basic mechanical components of the machines, which are not normally visible.

The accompanying programme with the popular prize draw competition, to which the TAJMAC-ZPS company and 9 co-exhibiting companies donated prizes, was provided by: BUGGYRA Power Sports with the TATRA PHOENIX #505 racing special with the participation of the pilot Jaroslav Valtr and the on-board mechanic Tomáš Šikola, who wonderfully placed 5th overall with this car at this year's DAKAR Rally. FLYWAY, a flight school with an interesting demonstration of two gyroplanes, the MTO sports model and the luxury Cavalon model with Gyromotion drive. Samohyl Motor Zlín with the current flagship of the Mercedes Benz brand, the EQS model. KUBERG manufacturer of attractive electric motors, which presented its products designed for ages as young as 2.5 years to adults and demonstrated the capabilities of its products in an engaging acrobatic show during the day. The unique exhibition of historic Czech racing motorcycles, provided by enthusiasts from the Jawa Club Luhačovice, also attracted interest. The attractive accompanying programme thus contributed to the overall relaxed atmosphere of this year's Customer Days.

 The event was highly praised by both visitors and co-exhibitors. We are pleased with the ever-increasing interest, and we will continue to strive to keep Customer Days in the future as an informal meeting of people connected with engineering industry.
