The Customer Days of TAJMAC-ZPS, a.s., held on 24 and 25 April 2025, once again enjoyed a high turnout of both visitors and exhibitors. The increased number of co-exhibiting companies, presenting themselves at 102 stands, completely filled all available exhibition spaces. The total number of visitors and participating co-exhibitors reached approximately 1,300. The accompanying programme included presentations of racing and off-road vehicles as well as commercial cars.
The visitors' interest in meeting with experts and managers to exchange valuable practical knowledge remained traditionally high, and TAJMAC-ZPS, in cooperation with our suppliers, presented the latest technological solutions on selected machines.
An interesting accompanying program once again included the popular and highly rated guided tours of the production facilities and tours of the ZPS – SLÉVÁRNA foundry, which, despite the expanded offering, were not sufficient to satisfy all interested participants.
During the production facility tours, visitors had the opportunity to see our own automated robotic workstation. The FAMC 1260i Production Cell 4.0 symbolizes the integration of the modern Industry 4.0 concept with the needs of small batch production. This innovative technology enables a flexible response to production demands and ensures just-in-time manufacturing of components. A key element of the cell is the upgraded MCV1260i vertical machining centre with an automatic pallet changer and energy supply to the pallet. The workstation is equipped with a variety of control elements enabling long-term unattended operation.
The TAJMAC-ZPS Customer Days also introduced an expanded presentation of the company’s own digital platform ReCON, which continues to enhance its range of products supporting manufacturing technologies and machine productivity. In its second fiscal year, the platform has seen growing interest and a continuously expanding customer base, with strong potential for further expansion of services. The company also plans joint product development with these customers.
Our divisions ZPS, MORI-SAY, and MANURHIN K’MX traditionally presented their exhibits. In the assembly halls, visitors had the opportunity to view selected machines from the production programme with examples of the latest technological set-ups, representing both novelties and innovative upgrades that expand the versatility of our machines, and to obtain detailed information about technical specifications.
The ZPS division showcased four set-up machining centres, two of which were in five-axis design. In combination with other machines located in the assembly areas, visitors had the opportunity to see almost the entire range of machines produced by the ZPS division. The individual technological setups were prepared with an emphasis on demonstrating the functions of the machines and their key features – using the latest cutting tools and modern methods of productive machining.
Another interesting element of this year's event was the presentation of FORMCONTROL X measuring software and demonstrations of five-axis universal roughing strategies designed for multi-axis machining.
Part of the Hall No. 2 also included more than 100 co-exhibitor stands, covering a wide range of fields across the engineering industry.
The MANURHIN K'MX division presented a 3D animation of an updated version of the new Swiss-type automatic lathe MANURHIN K'MX 520 / K'MX 620, which will complement the production line of Swiss automatic lathes produced in Zlín. Visitors were able to see the first five bases from the initial serial production of these machines on the assembly line. A wider exhibition displayed machines from the entire MANURHIN K'MX product portfolio with examples of current technological solutions. The exhibition included catalogue ISO tool suppliers, manufacturers of special profile tools for Swiss-type lathes, CAD/CAM system providers, and the state-of-the-art SLO frequency chip-breaking technology implemented on MANURHIN K'MX machines. Also featured were filtration systems for oil mist and fume extraction, as well as systems for monitoring the concentration and condition of cutting coolants. Visitors had the opportunity to explore modern assembly areas and consult their technological requirements, feedback and ideas with a team of designers, technologists, and service technicians.
The MORI-SAY division showcased a total of 10 machines on the assembly floor, representing two basic design concepts – cam-controlled and numerically controlled machines – in both six- and eight-spindle configurations. Visitors had a unique opportunity to see representatives of the entire production portfolio, from the smallest cam-controlled MORI-SAY 620AC to the large eight-spindle numerical MORI-SAY TMZ867CNC. They were able to compare the differences between the concept of a cam machine and a numerically controlled machine on a type-matched six-spindle 620 series machine. Also on display was a customer-configured MORI-SAY 832AC with full accessories and an automatic feeder. Exhibits also included fully CNC-controlled six-spindle automatics MORI-SAY TM620CNC and TMZ642CNC, on which production tests were in progress. This allowed everyone to observe the machines in full operation and get an idea of the performance that is so characteristic of multi-spindle automatics. On the semi-assembled machines, visitors could see the basic mechanical and electrical wholes which are normally located under the machine covers and are not normally visible. This year, MORI-SAY machines were demonstrated to visitors not only from the Czech Republic, but also to customers from Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, and the USA who did not hesitate to travel to Zlín.
The accompanying program with the popular prize draw, for which prizes were donated by TAJMAC-ZPS and 11 co-exhibiting companies, provided a light-hearted element as well as moments of suspense and excitement. This year’s DAKAR Rally participants from BUGGYRA Power Sports showcased their TATRA EVO3 racing truck, joined by drivers Martin Šoltys, Tomáš Šikola and members of the technical support team, without whom the racing vehicles and drivers could not compete. Samohýl MB kindly lent two fast cars from the current Mercedes-Benz EQE 43 AMG and SL 63 portfolio. Also attracting attention were the off-road four-wheelers POLARIS, presented by their Czech market dealer Mr. Adamík from POLARIS Otrokovice. The attractive accompanying program remains an integral part of the Customer Days and contributes to the informal and friendly atmosphere of the event at TAJMAC-ZPS.
We would like to thank all guests, visitors, and exhibitors who accepted our invitation and participated in the Customer Days. Our thanks also go to the event moderator Filip Bártek, who introduced the individual exhibiting companies to the visitors during the Customer Days in the form of short annotations, supplemented by an original commentary. The company Delirest traditionally provided excellent catering services during the entire event. Last but not least, we extend our sincere thanks to all TAJMAC-ZPS employees and external partners who took part in the preparation and successful execution of this major event.
Customer Days received many positive responses from both visitors and exhibitors, confirming their position as a sought-after event that connects professionals interested in engineering and industrial innovation. We look forward to welcoming you to Customer Days 2026!
