The TAJMAC-ZPS Customer Days 2019

The TAJMAC-ZPS Customers Days, held on 25 and 26 April 2019, unambiguously confirmed the validity of its label as a machining-oriented fair, all thanks to its extent and number of visitors. A day before the event, the counter of electronically registered guests stopped on the number 765. The interest of companies to attend the Customer days as co-exhibitors also increased, thus this year, it was possible to visit up to 80 expositions.

The number of this year’s Customer Days visitors exceeded the number of 800. Furthermore, this number was increased by a daily presence of 180 co-exhibitors from 79 companies. The accompanying programme was presented on four posts.

Many visitors appreciated the opportunity to informally meet with technical experts and executive managers as a chance to exchange valuable knowledge from praxis, while the TAJMAC-ZPS workers welcomed the opportunity to show the visitors our production programme and the latest novelties, all this on our own premises and in real operation. Both days of the event were streamed online on the www.tajmac-zps.cz web.

The CNC division, AUTOMATY division, MANURHIN division as well as the NEGRI BOSSI project presented their exhibits. Every division prepared their machines with interesting technological configurations introducing novelties or innovative possibilities which expand the capabilities of our machines. Many exhibitions of our co-exhibitors were more attractive than last year. The technological configuration of machines of our production program attracted a large measure of interest. The accompanying programme was attractive as well. As usually, the visitors used the opportunity to attend the favoured guided tour through the company's manufacturing premises as well as an excursion through the ZPS – SLÉVÁRNA (foundry) plant.

The CNC division exhibited representatives of the whole production range of contemporary sold machines.
The vertical machining centres exhibition was aimed on automation and presented an innovated MCFV 1060 machine equipped with a pallet changer, complemented with an ABB robotic workstation, including optical scanning of the workpiece position. This production cell was also complemented by a presentation of an application for collecting and evaluation of data associated with the Industry 4.0, created by the TAJMAC-ZPS workers. The gantry-type centres were represented by the MCG 1000 5XT machine with its main attraction which was a demonstration of the latest method of machining of toothing by the so called “peeling”. The horizontal centres were represented by the smallest machine, the H 500, as well as the skeleton of the innovated H 800 machine in a five-axis version with automatic pallet change. The exhibition was crowned by a presentation of Dural friction welding, demonstrated on the V-FSWC2080 machine in cooperation with the STIRTEC company.

The MANURHIN division (sliding headstock machines with six to twelve controlled axes, machining with two to four tools simultaneously) presented five prepared machines which represented the production range of the MANURHIN K´MX machines as well as other exhibits from their production programme.

The AUTOMATY division (Multispindle Automatic Lathes) prepared, on their assembly area, machines of two basic conceptions – cam-controlled machines and numerically controlled machines, both in six and eight-spindle versions. Some of them were in semi-finished state thus we were able to show its basic mechanical assemblies. Others were being set-up for planned acceptance with the presence of the customer. The MORI-SAY TMZ518CNC – Penta equipped with an automatic changer was also exhibited. In further reference to constantly proceeding modernization, all exhibited machines fulfil the requirements for application within the Industry 4.0 scope.

The accompanying programme with the favoured competition with prizes donated by the TAJMAC-ZPS and twelve co-exhibitors was enriched by an exhibition of the TATRA PHOENIX racing special, which attended this year’s Rally DAKAR with its pilot Martin Kolomý. Also, the BUGGYRA Racing team accompanying car was exhibited. After Thursday’s accident of the racing special, it even became the main feature item of the team. An interesting presentation of modern technology was the Gyromotion autogyro, lend by the FLYWAY firm, an autogyro school. The visitors were also attracted by the 3D printing presentation by the TRILAB firm. After several years, the A-team players of the Berani Zlín hockey team were a part of the program and those interested could try shots on the goal with assistance of the players. Furthermore, the visitor could admire a model of a full-size acrobat plane Extra 300L and short hall aerobatics performed with the Extra 330sc and Extra MXS airplane models controlled by Adam Hrbáček, a successful pilot of acrobatic RC models. By all this, the attractive accompanying programme contributed to the successful course of this year’s Customer Days.

We are thankful for all complimentary reviews of the event expressed both by the visitors and co-exhibitors. Our thanks also belong to all guests, visitors and exhibitors as well as to all TAJMAC-ZPS workers participating in this event. Furthermore, it is necessary to thank the Compass company which traditionally contributed to the pleasant mood of the 2019 Customer Days by providing a delicious banquet.
