Two thousand visitors took the opportunity to look inside of our manufacturing premises. Adults had the opportunity to show their children, grandchildren or other relatives the environment of their work and explain what it means to be a milling-machine operator, lathe operator, CNC machines programmer or demonstrate the heat and darkness present during casting in the foundry. A rich programme was prepared in all three halls, for example plastic products manufacturing or painting on a machine. Everyone could explore all production departments in detail and meet the engineering industry. Also, the Secondary Polytechnic School – Cop Zlín took the opportunity to introduce the apprentice and GCE form of study of this perspective branch.
The outdoor areas were filled with attractions, such as the jumping castle, trampoline, illusionist show or a horse ride, intended for the youngest. But also the older children had their share of fun as they could let the steam off during paintball, on a flight simulator, or have a rest during an exhibition of firefighting technology, a lorry or of aviation models of our employees. And once the children got hungry, they could fill up their bellies with a hot-dog or refresh themselves by ice cream, both for free.
The rich programme also offered a place for rest. Under a large party tent, the visitors could cool down with non-alcoholic beer and taste a grilled steak or sausage. The end of the event made few visitors happy as they won valuable prizes from a tombola. Some visitors went home richer by a television, iPad or mobile phones while others were visualizing an image of future sensations during a wellness stay in Luhačovice.
The success of the Open Day would not be possible without involvement of the TAJMAC-ZPS, a.s. employees and company partners who handled many various organizational positions and many thanks belongs to all of them. We have received many positive reactions to this year’s event which were crowned by a letter of thanks by one of the satisfied visitors, sent directly to the general manager: „It was a beautiful experience for the whole family. We have went through all accessible halls and working departments and I have never seen a production of such a scale. I think that this model, thanks to which the children could directly see the working environment and work of people, is an absolutely fantastic idea. I wish You and all Your family a lot of working and personal success.“.
