TAJMAC-ZPS a.s has established a joint venture for machine tools production in India

In the last years, the infrastructure, energetics and industry foundations in India have grown at a rocket pace. India is a worldwide respected power in internet technologies. Indian companies are becoming owners of significant world companies, India has a space satellite program and India has a Formula One team. India has a qualified manpower and a large industrial market.

The TAJMAC-ZPS a.s. Zlín company has been, in its contemporary history, active in India for more than ten years and during this time it has already delivered several dozen CNC machine tools to Indian private or state companies. Due to our limited manufacturing capacity we are not able to fully respond to the increasing demands of the rapidly expanding Indian market (1.3 billion inhabitants). This is why our company decided to establish our own enterprise in India and, after more than two years of effort, we have found a suitable partner, sufficiently experienced, technically competent and with an existing trade network with who we have established joint venture for production of the MANURHIN CNC automatic lathes. The enterprise name is the GALAXY MACHINERY PVT. LTD. with the main office in Bangalore and a manufacturing plant in Belgaum. After preparatory negotiations the Memorandum of Intent has been signed on 7th July 2016 by Mr. Michele Taiariol (TAJMAC-ZPS) and Mr. Subramanian Elango (GALAXY MACHINERY) in Belgaum, India. Subsequently, the same two persons signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Joint-Venture and the Non-Disclosure Agreement in Zlín on 30th July 2016. The enterprise has been registered under the name of GALAXY-TAJMAC MACHINERY PVT. LTD. and became a new member of the TAJMAC GROUP.

In the second half of August, design engineers from India travelled to Zlín to receive documentation of the MANURHIN K´MX 413 machine and subsequently, in the first half of September, Indian assembly mechanics arrived to assemble the machine which will be shipped to India in order to be exhibited on the India´s largest exposition of machine tools, the IMTEX 2017 held in January in Bangalore. The production of the first prototype of the MANURHIN K´MX 413 machine will be commenced during this autumn in Belgaum. The machines produced by GALAXY-TAJMAC MACHINERY will be sold on the Indian market only. And yet we assume that our production capacity in India will not be able to meet the demands of the local market even though it will be gradually increased. The reason is that we are one of the first companies producing this type of machines directly in India.

Establishing the GALAXY–TAJMAC MACHINERY enterprise is a milestone in the history of the TAJMAC-ZPS as it is the first time the machines from the TAJMAC-ZPS actual production programme will be simultaneously produced abroad, moreover in our own subsidiary company.
